Terms of sale for CppPilot Cloud
Last updated: 2026-10-24
1. The service
CppPilot Cloud is provided by CppPilot ("we"). It gives the CppPilot extension for Visual Studio access to AI models within the monthly allowance of the chosen plan. The CppPilot extension itself is free, open-source software under the MIT License.
2. Reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
3. Account
You sign in with an email address you control. You are responsible for the Visual Studio installations you sign in, and can revoke any of them from your account. One account is for one person.
4. Plans, allowance, and price
The free plan and the Pro plan include a monthly AI allowance, described on the pricing page. The allowance renews on the first day of each month (UTC) and unused allowance does not carry over. The Pro plan is billed monthly in advance at the price shown at checkout, including sales tax where it applies. We may change prices or allowances for future billing periods after notifying you by email at least 30 days in advance.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel the Pro plan at any time from your account or the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the account then returns to the free plan. Refunds follow the refund policy.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use CppPilot Cloud to break the law, to attack or overload the service or the AI provider, to share an account, or to generate content that violates the usage policies of OpenAI. We may suspend an account that does.
7. AI output
AI answers and code changes can be wrong. CppPilot shows each change and command for your approval; you remain responsible for reviewing, testing, and using them. You keep all rights to your code.
8. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, in particular when the AI provider is unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Personal data
See the privacy policy.
10. Contact and law
